Brave is an interesting browser like no other. It has been in development for several years and even though it is based off of Chrome, it does a whole lot more than what is available in your basic Chrome browser. It is considered a privacy-centric browser, but interestingly enough, you can also make money while using it if you opt into it.

First, how does the privacy centered approach work? Well, as you probably know, websites like to track you in order to make more money selling your information to advertisers. Brave can block these trackers natively, without having to install or use anything else. It does not work on everything, but it does work for most of the big companies. With this, you can be sure that you are not giving up your information for nothing in return. Since privacy online is an important thing to many people, this makes Brave a good option for a browser for a lot of people.

The next thing that makes Brave special is that you can earn money with it. If you choose to, you can turn on a setting that will allow you to get a few extra dollars every month from your browsing habits. You can set up a cryptocurrency wallet for the Brave token called BAT. BAT is worth real money, which you can cash out if you wish to or hold if you think that the cryptocurrency will become more valuable. Either way, you will come out with money that you did not have before.

Now you may be wondering how the browser can afford to pay you. simply put, if you opt into it, your information can be tracked and anonymized and then sold to companies. From this, you will receive a substantial share of the earnings on your information. This is certainly more than you would earn with a regular browser, but this feature is optional, so you do not have to sell your data unless you want to.

While Brave has all of these cool features, you can also just use it as a regular browser. It has almost the exact same feature set as Chrome, so you can use extensions, have multiple tabs, play videos with picture in picture, etc. If there is something that you do not like about it, you can contact the development team and they may consider adding features for you. Overall, it is a very capable browser that can be used by anyone to make some extra cash.
